佛學研究中心學報
  •     The predecessor of our academic journal was the "Journal of the Center for Buddhist Studies," which was planned by Professor Heng-ching Shih of the Department of Philosophy at National Taiwan University in 1994. It was first published in 1996 and continued until its 13th issue. In 2006, it was renamed "Taiwan Journal of Buddhist Studies" and changed its publication frequency from annual to biannual, with issues released in June and December each year.

The mission of the journal is to provide a platform for scholars engaged in Buddhist studies to publish their research outcomes and contribute to enhancing the visibility of academic research on Buddhism in Taiwan. Articles covering various academic disciplines such as literature, history, philosophy, art, psychology, and education related to Buddhism are welcome for publication. Since its inception, the journal has received positive reviews within the Taiwanese academic community. Since 2008, it has been recognized as a "Taiwan Humanities Citation Index Core Journal" evaluated by the Humanities and Social Sciences Research Center of the National Science Council. In 2016, 2018, and 2020, it was listed as a "Taiwan Humanities Core Journal" evaluated by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
